TouchStar’s industry specific mobility applications provide the remote user – be it driver, inspector, technician or other field service worker; with the relevant information to identify and reach the appropriate service or customer location; a step-by-step guide of the functions to be performed in the field; and the capability to record all the relevant information required by the business – from finger touch data entry through to automatically capturing meter data to reading barcodes or obtaining an electronic signature.

The Mobility Suite

All the TouchStar mobility applications have at least one, to a number of, enterprise based software solutions to provide the information used in the field and then process and report on the status updates, meter readings, vehicle telematic and performance data in the office. Controlling the informational flow in between the office and field, is a middleware layer that ensures the quick, efficient and secure handling of this data.  

In addition, there is a variety of supported third-party and TouchStar supplied mobility hardware to include: PDA, handheld, tablet and laptop computing platforms; intrinsically safe terminals; and printer, register and other vehicle systems.  All can be combined with TouchStar designed mounting systems, firmware or custom elements to meet any field mobility requirement.
