Overview

TouchStar is well equipped and experienced at extending its solutions for the industries it supports as well as expanding into new marketplaces or providing custom solutions that leverage its existing product portfolio.  An excellent example is ChemPac™ which originally addressed chemical industry requirements, was then enhanced to meet the needs of fertilizer distribution systems and is further evolving as an excellent pest management solution. 

These transformations are generally born from client requests as they increase their own market reach and services; leveraging their investment and application of TouchStar technology. And, they can also be generated as targeted TouchStar initiatives where market opportunity matches technical competency.

The Process

Whether an enhancement or convergence is required, TouchStar’s proven methodology remains constant.  Need definitions are scoped, gap analyses are performed and relevant specifications generated. Planning functions provide feature prioritization, schedules and roadmaps; and market focused launches and product management and marketing activities are supported throughout the solution’s lifecycle.

Similarly, customizations are handled in a systematic project approach following three market tested principles: First, the evaluation of business practices and clear identification of requirements and deliverables. Second, confirmation is obtained on the project’s scope with all stakeholders and participants to include their own roles and responsibilities. And third, the completion of a detailed technical analysis that encompasses all relevant aspects of the mobility solution to include: software, hardware and network services.
